* The Xtreamer SideWinder Model features a new revised version of the Realtek 1283X chipset that allows for bitstreaming of Dolby Tru-HD and DTS-HD MA.  However, HD audio pass-thru will not be available in the firmware that the unit ships with.  The firmware that includes HD audio bitstreaming is currently in beta testing and is scheduled to be released around mid May.  This new firmware also features an embedded "Movie Jukebox" (thumbnail-based navigation) and other features.

The Xtreamer media centers feature state-of-the-art digital playback that brings all the media content from your PC (or MAC) to your living room. With a dizzying array of file-format support, it is engineered from the ground up for high performance networking and hi-definition playback. This comprehensive, feature-packed device provides a near-complete entertainment experience for you, your friends and family. For the cheapest price in the market it offers truly brilliant, hi-definition video output with vivid colors with support for internal 2.5" SATA HDD and USB slave functionality to improve connectivity and transfer rates.  The Xtreamer is designed for Windows users and Mac users to stream files seamlessly. Windows users can access the unit via FTP, and Mac users via Samba, FTP, and AFP. Unicode support makes cross-platform file sharing smooth and easy!

The HDMI has been configured to the 1.3a spec, which supports HD video and Audio.  The updated chipset used in this model is fully capably of passing thru (bitstreaming) HD audio formats such as Dolby True-HD and DTS-HD MA.* The ports on the device have also been configured with a USB port placed at the rear panel, next to the optical S/PDIF.
The Xtreamer allows you to pull in digital video, audio and photos from various sources for your enjoyment on your HDTV or Home Theater setup via a wired network connection or via the optional WiFi Antenna (not included).**
You can stream or playback your digital media content from a variety of sources, such as your PC, NAS, digital camera, USB mass storage devices (Flash drive, HDD, DVD drive) ,internal SATA 2.5” HDD*** and even directly from the Internet via the Internet Media Service.
The Xtreamer supports the latest high bitrate video formats (MPEG2 MP@HL, H.264 HP@L4.1, VC-1 AP@L3 in TS of at least 40Mbps) to give you up to 1080p high-definition videos.
 In recognition of advances in Internet TV, the Xtreamer supports FLV file format so as to enhance your experience of Internet LIVE streaming featuring popular internet TV, Picasa and Yahoo video.
 The Xtreamer firmware is upgradeable to support future media containers, codecs and features.

** Wireless performance is rated up to 10 Megabytes per sec (about 80 Megabits per sec) maximum under ideal conditions. (Wireless Performance is not guaranteed in all environments!)

iPhone Remote Control
As of firmware version 2.0 our Xtreamer supports web interface for remote control.
The Xtreamer can now be controlled from the iPhone or any other mobile phone that has web browsing capability.
Simply browse to your device local IP at our home network to be able to fully control the Xtreamer.
